MATCHES IN THE SPORTS HALL
If you play a match in the sports hall, you may leave your scorecards in Pat Tregunno's envelope on the noticeboard, this will save you having to walk up to the courts where the boxes are. All cards MUST be in by 3pm, as that is when I leave. One point penalty if cards are not in on the day. If the envelope is empty, then the cards have already been taken.

photography and social media
Just a reminder, and for new teams that a rule was passed at the AGM in May 2014, that video.photos etc cannot be taken of any member without their express permission.
Also no member is allowed to use social media sites to complain etc about another member/official of NWKL. To do so would mean suspension from the league for 3 games, which includes playing and/or officiating. (Umpire or coach). On a second occasion the member would be permanently expelled from the league.

NWKL UMPIRE ASSESSMENTS 5/9/2016
All umpires who officiate in the NWK League at Bromley High School;-
As EN have now changed the criteria for attaining the umpire awards which includes Bleep Test. At NWKL umpires are assessed at 5 year intervals for 'C',(BLEEP TEST 4.1THIS WILL INCREASE TO 5.1 FROM 1/1/2016) and 4 year intervals for 'B' (BLEEP TEST 5.1 THIS WILL INCREASE TO 6.1 FROM 1/1/2016). They are assessed according to EN test guidelines.
Therefore any umpire who is assessed will be required to pass the relevant 'bleep test' no earlier than 6 weeks prior to their assessment.
Some umpires may need to train to pass the fitness test.
The 'bleep test' can be downloaded for free from the internet, and the cones must be 20 metres apart. To pass the test it needs to be signed by someone from the following clubs who have offered for umpires/candidates to go along to their training night to train/take the bleep test. You will need to contact the clubs direct and make arrangements with them;-
If any of the above clubs are too far away for umpires who live further down in Kent, please contact the Committee and we will find an alternative club.
All new umpires who qualify from 1/1/13 will have had to do this.
NWKL teams should pass this information on to any umpire they use. The onus is on the team to ensure that all umpires are up to date with their assessment otherwise the game will be forfeit. (updated 11/4/2017)

The Winter season plays approximately every 2 weeks, avoiding the Regional games where possible. Dates for 2017-2018 will not be set until July/August preceding the season.
Dates, times and courts are set and may not be rearranged. The league is played at Bromley High School,Bromley, BR1 2TW. from 9am to 2.40pm on 7 courts throughout the day. This includes the indoor sports hall.
Teams must supply their own qualified umpire for each match they play. All players and umpires MUST be affiliated to England Netball. Failure to do so will mean forfeiting the game. The onus is on all teams to ensure that their umpire has the correct qualification, and that their assessment is up to date as per NWKL rules.

END OF SEASON RESULTS for the WINTER LEAGUE
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL TEAMS
MEMBERS PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANY TEAM WHO DID NOT HAND THEIR SCORECARDS IN ON THE DAY, WILL HAVE ONE POINT DEDUCTED MANUALLY AS THE WEBSITE CANNOT DO IT, SO YOUR SCORES MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU SEE ON THE WEBSITE. THIS ALSO INCLUDES ANY PENALTY POINTS DEDUCTED FOR TEAMS NOT TURNING UP TO PLAY, AND NOT INFORMING THE OPPOSITION.
ALSO IF A TEAM HAS HAD GAMES CANCELLED AGAINST THEM, THEIR GOAL AVERAGE IS WORKED OUT BY, GOALS DIVIDED BY GOALS AGAINST, THEN DIVIDED BY HOW MANY GAMES THEY ACTUALLY PLAYED. THE WEBSITE CANNOT DO THAT, SO THAT IS ALSO DONE MANUALLY. THIS MAY MEAN THAT YOUR TEAM MAY/MAY NOT GET PROMOTED/DEMOTED.
TEAMS WHO CANCELLED GAMES WILL HAVE THEIR GOALS DIVIDED BY, THE TOTAL GAMES PLAYED ADDED TO THOSE THAT WERE CANCELLED.
ONCE THIS IS WORKED OUT YOU WILL BE INFORMED OF THE FINAL RESULTS.
